Einst waren ihre zahllosen Inseln Teil eines einzigen Kontinents, bis eine urzeitliche Katastrophe alles änderte. Von oben erscheint die Alte Welt wie ein Komet. Eine große, beinahe runde Landmasse, der ein langer Schweif kleiner Inseln entströmt.

The Old World is vast. Once all of its many islands were part of a single continent but some ancient catastrophe changed all that. From above the Old World looks like a comet, one large roughly circular landmass with a long tail of smaller islands streaming out from it. The Old World enjoys a temperate but dry climate. Droughts are common, and food shortages used to be the main cause of conflict between the hundreds of petty warlords.

Le Vieux monde est vaste. Un jour, les nombreuses îles qui le composent faisaient partie d’un seul continent mais une antique catastrophe a tout changé. Vu du ciel, le Vieux monde ressemble à une comète, une énorme étendue de terre vaguement circulaire dotée d’une longue queue de petites îles s’en échappant. Le Vieux monde jouit d’un climat tempéré mais sec. La sécheresse est chose commune, et le manque de nourriture était la principale raison du conflit opposant les centaines de seigneurs de guerre insignifiants.

El viejo mundo es enorme. Tiempo atrás, todas sus muchas islas formaban parte de un único continente, pero algún tipo de catástrofe ancestral lo cambió todo. Desde arriba, el viejo mundo parece un cometa, una enorme masa terrestre de forma relativamente redonda con un reguero de islas más pequeñas que salen de ella. El viejo mundo disfruta de un clima moderado pero seco. Las sequías son frecuentes y la escasez de comida era la principal causa de conflicto entre los cientos de mezquinos señores de la guerra.

O Velho Mundo é vasto. Um dia, todas as ilhas faziam parte de um único continente, mas uma catástrofe ancestral mudou tudo. De cima, o Velho Mundo parece um cometa, uma grande massa circular de terra com uma longa cauda formada por pequenas ilhas saindo dela. O clima do Velho Mundo é temperado e seco. As secas são comuns e a falta de comida era a principal causa de conflito entre as centenas de chefes guerreiros.

Stary Świat jest ogromny. Niegdyś wszystkie jego wyspy tworzyły jeden kontynent, lecz taki stan rzeczy zmieniła starożytna katastrofa. Z lotu ptaka Stary Świat przypomina wyglądem kometę: jest to z grubsza okrągła masa lądu, za którą ciągnie się długi ogon pomniejszych wysp. W Starym Świecie panuje umiarkowany, lecz suchy klimat. Częstym zjawiskiem są susze, a niedobór żywności bywał główną kością niezgody pomiędzy setkami mało znaczących watażków.

Старый свет поистине огромен. Когда-то все его острова были единым континентом, но древний катаклизм расколол его на части. Если посмотреть на Старый свет высоко с неба, он похож на комету: один большой округлый остров, а за ним – вереница маленьких, как бы следующих за ним. Климат в Старом свете умеренный, но сухой. Здесь часто случались засухи, поэтому за продовольствие приходилось сражаться.
