On the 15th August began the implementation of a joint project of the Bulgarian Society for the Protection of Birds (BSPB), Primary School "Kliment Ohridski" and the talented artists of "140 ideas". Part of the inner wall of the school in Haskovo will be painted with the life cycle stages of the globally threatened species. The complete composition will be revealed in the following 6 days, but what is already known is, that the different phases in the life of the "white-haired elder" will be represented. Those phases symbolize the cyclical nature - start, peak and end, which is actually a new beginning.

It is the students with their teachers that have undertaken an invaluable role in the effort to prevent the extinction of the species in Greece and Bulgaria.

The students of the adoption team from Sapes Primary School kept the tradition. With their shouts and singing they managed to stir things for yet another year in the town of Sapes! Starting from their school yard they walked the main streets of their town, until reaching the Town Hall in front of which they reenacted the problem Egyptian Vultures face due to the poisoned baits. Next we were transported to the point facing the nest of the Egyptian Vultures in N. Santa. Everyone had the opportunity to see it through the help of telescope. In the end, while following the road network in the area we placed the four signs prepared by the team.

От известно време не бяхме посещавали нашите малки приятели в Дадя, Северна Гърция. Затова не се и поколебахме, когато дъждовните облаци се разсеяха и ни се предостави възможността отново да прекараме една сутрин с децата от детската градина и от Основното училище в Дадя.

It's been a while since we visited our young friends in Dadia, the hometown of our programme in North Greeece. So when finally the weather gave us a window of opportunity we gathered our toys and went to spend our morning with the children of Dadia's Kindergarden and Primary school Twenty two primary school students and six pre-school children with their teachers opened wholeheartedly the doors of their school at the foots of Dadia's forest and together we trasnformed in a struggling but brave population of Egyptian vultures, ready to fight any challenges.
