Tento výrobní postup je využíván při výrobě velkého množství rovnoměrných dílů s jemnou povrchovou úpravou (sériová výroba). Stroj tlakového lití dělá tento výrobní postup velmi hospodárným, jelikož lze v krátké době hromadnou výrobou výhodně vyrobit přesné odlitky.

The method is used when a large number of uniform parts with a fine surface finish are to be manufactured (serial production). The die casting machine makes this process extremely economical, since besides the high dimensional stability of the cast part time-saving and cost-effective mass production is possible. Depending on the material several ten thousand to one hundred thousands of castings can be produced with one die casting mold.

Das Verfahren wird angewendet, wenn eine grosse Zahl gleichförmiger Teile mit feiner Oberflächenbeschaffenheit hergestellt werden soll (Serienfertigung). Die Druckgussmaschine macht dieses Verfahren äusserst wirtschaftlich, da neben der hohen Masshaltigkeit des Gussteiles eine zeitsparende und kostengünstige Massenfertigung möglich ist. Mit einer Druckgussform können je nach Werkstoff mehrere zehntausend bis hunterttausende Gussteile hergestellt werden.
