Nesen Ekonomikas ministrijas publicētajā 2017. gada Lietuvas ekonomikas apskatā norādīts, ka pērn vislielākais tūristu skaita pieaugums ir Birštonas pašvaldībā: šeit tika izmitināti 38,7 tūkst. tūristu, no kuriem 55% sastāda lietuvieši, pārējie – ārzemnieki.

Additional information: At present there are almost 3000 accommodation places in Birštonas, 41 accommodation facilities, and 24 catering establishments. Recently published the 2017 Review of Lithuanian Economy (by Ministry of Economics) has stated that last year the flows of tourists in Birštonas municipality grew the most: 38,700 tourists were accommodated here, of which Lithuanians accounted for 55%. It is stated that this growth was due to the expansion of Medical SPA Eglės sanatorija in Birštonas and opening of the wellness and relaxation complex Vytautas Mineral SPA in 2016, as well as holding the high-quality events.

Zusätzliche Informationen: Derzeit verfügt Birštonas über fast 3000 Übernachtungsplätze, 41 Betriebe bieten Übernachtungen an und es gibt 24 Verpflegungsbetriebe. In der kürzlich vom Wirtschaftsministerium für die litauische Wirtschaft 2017 veröffentlichten Übersicht heißt es, dass der Touristenstrom im vergangenen Jahr am stärksten in Birštonas gewachsen ist: hier wurden 38,7 Tausend Touristen beherbergt, wovon Litauer 55 % stellten, den Rest Ausländer. Es wird angegeben, dass dieses Wachstum vor Allem durch den Ausbau des Sanatoriums „Eglės sanatorija“ in Birštonas und die 2016 erfolgte Neueröffnung des Wellness- und Erholungsheims „Vytautas Mineral Spa“ verursacht wurde und durch die zahlreichen hochwertigen Veranstaltungen, die hier stattfinden.

Informacje dodatkowe: Obecnie w Birsztanach do dyspozycji gości jest około 3 tys. miejsc noclegowych, 41 obiekt świadczy usługi zakwaterowania, czynne są 24 placówki gastronomiczne. W ogłoszonym ostatnio przez Ministerstwo Gospodarki przeglądzie gospodarki Litwy za 2017 r. wskazano, że w ubiegłym roku potok turystów najszybciej wzrastał w rejonie birsztańskim: tu zakwaterowano 38,7 tys. osób, z czego Litwini stanowili 55 proc., pozostali to byli obcokrajowcy. Podkreślono, że o wzroście zadecydował rozwój sanatorium „Eglės sanatorija” oraz działającego od jesieni 2016 r. kompleksu zdrowotno-rekreacyjnego „Vytautas Mineral SPA”, jak też organizowanie imprez, utrzymanych na wysokim poziomie.
