The palace was built the Kölcsey assoc. between 1911 and 1913 after the plans of Szántay László. Architecturally is one combination of several styles. It is recognizable the classicist, the Italian renaissance and the French gothic as well as the French baroque and the Romanian. On its facade we can see half-relief representing the muses of science, music and literature. The hall is of secessionist style while on its windows we may recognize the nouveau-art style. The frescos are covered with gold lamellas. On the vault of the chapel we can see the Solar System and the Halley comet. In this building there are the Philharmonics of Arad, the Museum of History and of Science.
