Gadfly Petrel works to bring about communications policies and systems that are based on human needs not corporate profits. She thinks that there is no technical solution but that technology can be useful if used in moderation. Though a seabird, she has migrated inland to study and teach journalism and communications, hopefully inspiring new generations of gadflies. Other interests include cooperative living, urban gardening and Captain Beefheart. She’s also a firm believer in mutual aid and loves jokes about pirates.

Ella piensa que no hay una solución técnica sin embargo cree que la tecnología puede ser útil si se usa con moderación. Aun siendo un ave marina, ha migrado tierra adentro para estudiar y enseñar periodismo y comunicación, inspirando esperanzadoramente a las nuevas generaciones de tábanos. Sus otras aficiones incluyen la vida cooperativa, la jardinería urbana y Capitán Beefheart. Es también una firme creyente en el apoyo mutuo y le encantan los chistes de piratas.

Ella pensa che ci sia una soluzione tecnica ma che la tecnologia possa essere utile se usata con moderazione.
