The Right Honourable Michaëlle Jean, Grand témoin de la Francophonie for the London 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games, and Sebastian Coe, Chair of the London Organising Committee of the Olympic and Paralympic Games (LOCOG), signed an agreement in Québec City at the 10th SportAccord Convention in Québec City on the use of French during these summer games. Gilbert Felli, IOC Executive Director for the Olympic Games, attended the signing.

C’est à Québec, lors du 10e congrès SportAccord, que Michaëlle Jean, Grand Témoin de la Francophonie pour les Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques de Londres 2012, et Sebastian Coe, Président du Comité d’organisation des Jeux Olympiques et Paralympiques d’été en 2012 à Londres (LOCOG), ont signé, en présence de Gilbert Felli, Directeur exécutif des Jeux Olympiques au CIO, une convention sur l’usage du français à ces Jeux.
