"Ar ôl fy mherthynas guradurol hir a chynhyrchiol â Sean yn Bluecoat, canolfan Lerpwl i’r celfyddydau cyfoes, a chyn hynny yn Spike Island, Bryste, rwy’n falch iawn o gael gweithio gydag ef eto, yn enwedig ar rywbeth mor uchel ei fri â Chymru yn Fenis 2019. Mae Sean yn un o brif artistiaid Cymru a Phrydain dan 40 oed a gwn y bydd ei arddangosfa’n ymgysylltu â’r byd cyfoes yn gelfydd iawn. Bydd ein partneriaeth gyda Thŷ Pawb hefyd yn rhoi dyfnder i’r prosiect a chyrraedd iddo yng Nghymru a’r tu hwnt."
"After a long and productive curator-artist relationship here at Bluecoat, Liverpool's centre for the contemporary arts, and previously at Spike Island, Bristol, I am so pleased to be working with Sean Edwards once more and this time on something as prestigious as Cymru yn Fenis/Wales in Venice 2019. Edwards is one of Wales's and the UK's leading artists under forty and I know that he will realise an exhibition which will resonate in the contemporary moment. Our enduring partnership with Tŷ Pawb will also give the project depth and reach within Wales and beyond."

Er enghraifft, mae ffilmiau a ffotograffau barddonol Sharon Lockhart wedi golygu cydweithio’n agos dros gyfnod hir o amser â grwpiau ac unigolion o rannau anweledig cymdeithas, y rhai heb gynrychiolaeth.
Many of the artists on the shortlist work in collaboration with individuals and communities. For example Sharon Lockhart’s poetic films and photographs involve working closely, over a long period of time, with groups and individuals from the unrepresented and unseen sections of society. The work of Karen Mirza and Brad Butler questions what we mean by these notions of collaboration and participation. Their practice includes film, performance, curating and publishing. Ragnar Kjartansson’s work also involves collaboration, often with musicians, in performance and installations through which he explores themes of friendship, human emotions, love and beauty. All these artists use a wide range of media, actions and strategies to comment on what it means to be human in contemporary society.
