Gan fy mod wedi derbyn triniaeth am ganser y fron yn gynharach 2013 yn Canolfan Canser Felindre, roeddwn am godi gymaint o arian â phosibl i’w hapêl newydd, “Buddugoliaeth dros Ganser”.
Having been treated for breast cancer in early 2013 at Velindre Cancer Centre, I wanted to raise as much as possible for their new appeal, "Victory over Cancer".

Uchafbwyntiau:  Mae’n hynod o anodd enwi unrhyw ardal fel rhyw uchafbwynt gwell na’r gweddill. Mae gan Sir Benfro gysylltiad cryf â’m hanes teuluol, a phleser o’r mwyaf oedd darganfod pob modfedd o’r Llwybr Cenedlaethol hwn ar droed.
High Points:  It’s incredibly difficult to pinpoint any areas above others as highlights. Pembrokeshire has a deep rooted connection to my family history and it was a real joy to discover every inch of this National Trail on foot.
  Ynys Môn
Mae digonedd o bethau i’w gweld ar Ynys Môn. Ceir daeareg eithriadol ddiddorol a thraethau hardd ar hyd yr arfordir gwych. Codwyd Pont Menai rhwng yr ynys a’r tir mawr gan Thomas Telford yn 1826.
The Isle of Anglesey (Ynys Môn) is waiting for you to discover its riches. World class geology and picturesque beaches are found along this glorious coastline. The island is linked to the mainland by the stunning Menai Suspension Bridge built in 1826 by Thomas Telford.
  Adar y gaeaf
Mae Aber Afon Dyfrdwy, a nodwyd fel Gwlypdir o Bwysigrwydd Rhyngwladol, yn ardal brysur yn ystod y gaeaf gan ei bod yn cynnig cartref i dros 120,000 o adar dŵr ac adar hirgoes ar hyd y glannau. Gellir gweld adar cyffredin fel hwyaid, gwyddau ac elyrch yn llu ar hyd rhannau o Lwybr yr Arfordir yn yr ardal hon.
The Dee Estuary, identified as a Wetland of International Importance, is a busy spot during the winter as it offers a home to some 120,000 waterfowl and wading birds along the shore. Common birds like ducks, geese and swans can be seen in numbers along parts of the Coast Path in this area. Families who are out enjoying some fresh air can take some scraps of bread and feed the birds - a lovely activity to do as a family that won’t cost a penny. The rare hen-harrier is sometimes visible hunting its prey along the Dee estuary and in the evenings short-eared owls can sometimes be seen in the marshland.

Does dim hyd yn oed angen i chi fod yn gerddwr brwd gan fod nifer o rannau byr a hwylus ar gyfer mynd am dro hawdd a chyflym yn ogystal â chyfle i fynd ar deithiau cerdded hirach ac anoddach.
From cliff top walks and secluded beaches through to exploring the exciting Cardiff Bay redevelopment. Whatever your preference, you’ll be surprised at the variety of walking locations. You don’t even need to be an ardent ‘walker’ as you’ll find short easy stretches for a quick and easy walk as well as the longer challenging hikes.

Pellter y daith, meddan nhw, yw 6,824 milltir – ond gan fy mod yn cwblhau fy siwrnai heb ddefnyddio llongau fferi, mae’n debyg y bydd nifer y milltiroedd ar ddiwedd y daith yn llawer mwy!
Having declared myself homeless and following seven months training, on 8th August 2012, I left Blackpool with the intention of raising money for Help for Heroes by walking all the way around the coast of mainland Britain. The route is documented to measure 6,824 miles – however my journey is being completed without using ferries, so the actual mileage achieved at the end of all this may well prove to be much more!

For much of the way from Chester to Bangor, the Wales Coast Path can be cycled as it shares a route with the National Cycle Network. Where it is not possible to cycle on the Coast Path itself cyclists can take alternative routes. These are signposted with the NCN, rather than WCP logos. Details of the cycle friendly sections of the WCP on the north Wales coast are given here.
  Cludiant cyhoeddus
(Gan mai gwasanaethau cyfyngedig sydd i’w cael mewn ambell ardal, awgrymwn eich bod yn defnyddio cludiant cyhoeddus i fynd i’ch cyrchfan fel y gallwch wedyn ymlacio a mwynhau’r siwrnai yn hytrach na phoeni am gyrraedd erbyn rhyw amser arbennig.)
There are even walks that are linked up with public transport so you don’t have to walk back to your start point. (As some areas offer limited services a day, we suggest that public transport is used for the outward leg of your journey so that you can relax and enjoy the journey rather than have to think about reaching your destination by a specific time.)
  Sir Gaerfyrddin
Mae arfordir Bae Caerfyrddin yn un amrywiol a diddorol. Ceir yno lawer o wahanol gynefinoedd gan gynnwys corsydd dŵr croyw, morfeydd heli, twyni tywod, coedwigoedd pîn a thiroedd comin arfordirol – oll yn gartref i gant a mil o blanhigion a chreaduriaid.
Carmarthen Bay is a coastline of great contrasts and takes in a range of habitats including fresh water marshes, salt marshes, sand dunes, pine forests and coastal commons all supporting a spectacular array of flora and fauna. Set within the bay is Pembrey Country Park – 500 acres of landscaped woods and parkland leading down to the little harbour of Burry Port.
  Cludiant cyhoeddus
Gydag 870 o filltiroedd i’w harchwilio, gallwch ddefnyddio cludiant cyhoeddus i fynd a dod ar hyd yr arfordir fel y mynnwch, gan eich galluogi i gerdded eich hoff rannau’n unig (a rhoi rhywfaint o seibiant i’ch traed).
Public transport opens up the Coast Path in surprising ways. Not only is it a trouble-free way to travel to Wales if you are on your holidays, but it is also a great way to get onto the path - and you can leave the car at home! With 870 miles to explore, you can use public transport to hop along the coast allowing you to just walk favourite sections (while also giving your feet a bit of a rest).
  Cariad ar y cam cyntaf
Cynhelir yr Ŵyl Love2Walk, sydd bellach yn ei thrydedd flwyddyn, ledled bwrdeistref Pen-y-bont ar Ogwr rhwng 29 Medi a 7 Hydref. Mae’n cynnig dros 40 o deithiau cerdded, gan gynnwys teithiau ysbrydion, chwilio am ystlumod a mynd i weld gwartheg ar fferm laeth.
For more information on how to book, visit www.love2walk.co.uk. Now in its third year, the Love2Walk Festival takes place throughout the borough of Bridgend, between September 29 and October 7. It offers more than 40 walks, which include ghostly encounters, bat detection and meeting the cows on a dairy farm.
  Cariad ar y cam cyntaf
Datblygwyd Llwybr Arfordir Cymru gan Lywodraeth Cymru mewn partneriaeth â Chyngor Cefn Gwlad Cymru (CCGC), un awdurdod lleol ar bymtheg a dau Barc Cenedlaethol, ac mae wedi’i rannu’n wyth ardal ddaearyddol.
The Wales Coast Path was developed by the Welsh Government in partnership with the Countryside Council for Wales (CCW), sixteen local authorities and two National Parks and has been split into eight geographical areas. Sue Rice, Wales Coast Path Project Manager, of the Countryside Council for Wales, said: “One of the reasons for the creation of the Wales Coast Path was to encourage active lifestyles. Walk2Love does exactly this; providing fresh air, beautiful surroundings and a fun, organised activity. “I hope this new addition to the festival goes from strength to strength. It would be a great for the Wales Coast Path to be the setting of a future love story.”

Bellach, fodd bynnag, fe godwyd pont newydd ar Alaw, wedi’i hariannu gan Lywodraeth Cymru, Cronfa Datblygu Rhanbarthol Ewrop, a Chyngor Môn. Gwnaed llwybr troed newydd, hefyd, ar hyd glan deheuol yr afon, i gysylltu â hi.
However, a new bridge, funded by the Welsh Government, European Regional Development Fund and Anglesey County Council, has now been installed across the River Alaw. Also, a new footpath has been created along the south side of the river to link up with it. So, you can now walk right around the island - the bus company’s loss is the walker’s gain!

Yn gyntaf mi wnaethon ni gerdded o Draeth Poppit i Drewyddel, gan fwynhau golygfeydd dramatig y clogwyni yn ogystal â chryn dipyn o forloi’n dowcio yn y môr islaw. Golygfa nad oedden ni wedi disgwyl ei gweld – roedd hi’n hardd.

Bwriad Arfordiroedd Treftadaeth yw diffinio’r rhannau gorau o arfordiroedd sydd heb eu datblygu, gan eu gwarchod a’u rheoli mewn modd cynhwysfawr, er mwynhad y cyhoedd hefyd. Mae gennym 14 yng Nghymru; ond, yn ddryslyd braidd, mae nifer ohonynt oddi mewn i AHNE – cadarnhad dwbl o’u harddwch!
The intention of Heritage Coasts is to define the finest stretches of undeveloped coastline and to conserve and manage them comprehensively, including for enjoyment by the public. We have 14 in Wales but, slightly confusingly, many of them are within AONBs - a sort of double endorsement of beauty!

It is now available for use, although further improvements to the infrastructure, including the installation of steps and additional waymarking, are planned.

Caeodd yr iard ym 1926, gan ddod â thlodi a chaledi mawr yn ei sgil, ond ym 1930, sefydlodd yr Awyrlu ganolfan awyrennau môr yn y dref a fu’n rhan hollbwysig o ymgyrchoedd amddiffyn confoi yr Ail Ryfel Byd maes o law, gydag awyrennau môr Sutherland.
Closure eventually came in 1926, plunging the community into hardship, but in 1930 the RAF established a flying-boat base in the town which undertook important convoy protection operations during the Second World War, using Sunderland flying boats. This facility closed in 1957 and the yard has since seen a number of uses, including merchant shipbuilding and, in 1979, an Irish ferry terminal, still operated today by Irish Ferries. But the days when Pembroke Dock was one of the foremost shipyards of the Royal Navy are long gone.

Llŷn Peninsula was our final end of our adventure.  Hell’s Mouth was a nightmare, with the lack of direction signs on the official route avoiding the beach and being very frightened by a herd of galloping cows which made us walk a long detour along the road. We returned a few days later, when tide was low and took the beach option.  Those cows were terrible!

The QRs are produced by the community-based information project HistoryPoints.org. They’re already at almost 150 locations along the WCP – from Flint to Chepstow and around Anglesey. More are appearing all the time, thanks to the support of volunteers, local businesses, councils and others. Setting foot out of his front door at Llancarfan Will walked for 63 days, saying “I knew there was an adventure on my doorstep; something that was raw and really testing and that I could be proud of completing. Walking the Path will become that odd fact about me.”

Mae rhwystr 3 milltir / 4.7 cilomedr rhag mynediad at lannau Llŷn wedi’i ddileu, o’r diwedd, diolch i gytundeb rhwng Cyngor Gwynedd a chwe pherchen tir i greu Llwybr Cyhoeddus rhwng Porth Widlin a Phorth Oer. Gelwir yr olaf yn 'Whistling Sands' gan Saeson, oherwydd bod y tywod yno’n gwichian pan gerddir arno.
A long standing 3 mile / 4.7 kilometre gap in access to the coast of the Llŷn Peninsula has been removed thanks to an agreement between Gwynedd Council and six landowners to create a Public Footpath between Porth Widlin and Porth Oer. The latter of these is better known to many as 'Whistling Sands' due to the noise made underfoot when walking on the beach.
  Llwybr Arfordir Cymru –...
Ymhellach tua’r gogledd, mae Parc Cenedlaethol Eryri yn enwog am ei fynyddoedd, ac mewn mannau mae Llwybr Arfordir Cymru yn arwain trwy odreon y rhain. Ond mae hefyd yn cynnwys milltiroedd lawer o arfordir, gan gynnwys traethau tywodlyd hir Morfa Harlech a Morfa Dyffryn.
Further north, Snowdonia is mostly known for its mountains and in places the WCP runs through the foothills. However, it also includes many miles of coastline, including the long sandy beaches of Morfa Harlech and Morfa Duffryn.

Nid oedd llawer o isafbwyntiau i mi ond gan mai hwn oedd yr haf gwlypaf yng Nghymru ers blynyddoedd, cawsom sawl moment fwdlyd. Wrth ddod i lawr camfa, fe laniais mewn mwd, gan adael fy esgid ar ôl - er mawr ddifyrrwch i’m ffrindiau!
There were not many low points for me but being the wettest summer in Wales for years, there were a few muddy moments. On descending a stile, I landed in mud, leaving my walking shoe behind – causing great amusement to my friends! On another occasion, walking on the beach for 4km, I found the high winds, rain and driving sand took my breath away. Not the most enjoyable day of the journey but reaching a warm and friendly café in Rhosneigr helped us to dry out and get warm again and it’s worth saying, the crashing waves were spectacular in that weather!

Use this lovely walk with great views across to the mainland as an opportunity to learn how to say the name of this famous village! The walk passes under both bridges to the island - Stephenson’s 1850 Brittania Bridge and Telford’s 1826 Menai Suspension Bridge. (Bus)

  Newyddion am y llwybr M...
Pan agorwyd Llwybr Arfordir Cymru, bu raid dargyfeirio 6.5 milltir / 10 cilomedr o’r glannau rhwng Tonfanau a Thywyn er mwyn cyrraedd pont isaf Dysynni ym Mryncrug. Eithr golyga codi pont newydd, gan ddefnyddio ategwaith hen bont Bailey o eiddo’r fyddin, a chwalwyd tua dengmlwydd ar hugain yn ôl, nad rhaid i gerddwyr a beicwyr ddargyfeirio, bellach.
When the Wales Coast Path opened it was necessary to undertake a 6.5 mile / 10 kiilometre inland detour between Tonfanau and Tywyn to reach the first bridging point of the Dysynni River at Bryncrug. However, the installation of a new bridge, using the abutments of a former army bailey bridge which was demolished around thirty years ago, means that walkers and cyclists no longer have to follow this circuitous route.
