Stefan: ‘Actually it’s really a hanging car wash. The system is comprised of four cables that have been connected to the building though connection point on the building and on the ground. By unwinding the cables in the right way, the KITE Robot moves across the façade, consisting of a cleaning element with a rotating brush. The integrated smart computer system makes sure the KITE Robot can complete the whole process autonomously. It also means that operators can leave for the next building after they have installed the robot. When the KITE Robot is finished they receive a message and can coil up the cables in compact winch cabinats that have the size and way as much as an icebox.’
