Roman Zatler is Head of Market Research at Delo Publishing Company. After his studies he worked for research companies Mediana and Valicon where he gained his first experience in market research. He began his career in the media in 2006 at Delo, where he is now responsible for marketing and public opinion research and development projects for all the publications within the company. He has been actively involved in media research since 2008, when he was a member of the expert commission for monitoring the National Research of Readership. In 2015, he participated in connecting print media publishers in the relaunch of the National Research of Readership and was its chairman. He gained experience in digital media as a member of the MOSS Expert Committee since 2012. In the period from 2014 to 2017 he was a member of the Management Board of Slovenian Advertising Chamber and he contributed to its transformation into a modern advertising chamber.

Sploh ne, in v tem je tudi njegova največja odlika. Vse te medije – tradicionalne, digitalne in družbene – že poznate in jih uporabljate v marketinške namene. Težava je le v tem, da jih še vedno obravnavate ločeno, namesto da bi jih povezovali.
You don’t have to change anything inside the company, that’s the beautiful thing about it. You are already doing all these things – you are doing some traditional marketing, you are doing Facebook, LinkedIn, YouTube, videos, e-mail, but you look at them as separate tools that are never connected. Why don’t you post on Facebook ‘here is my e-mail, sign up for more information’? Why wouldn’t you invite people on your YouTube channel to visit your other platforms? Invite them to all these touch points that you already have. It doesn’t cost you anything because you are already doing it. All it is, is a different way of thinking. Well, it is often more difficult to think differently than to get the company to spend more money, but once they do, it can explode.
