Por otra parte, Benjamín Fortuny, responsable del área de Turismo del Consejo Comarcal, conjuntamente con Sergi Cámara, productor de aceite de variedades locales y miembro de la Mesa de variedades locales de aceite del Bages, hicieron una charla explicando la relación entre geología y aceite y el pasado, presente y futuro del cultivo del olivo en el territorio del geoparque. Sergi animó a los asistentes con una cata de aceite conducido de una de las variedades lcoals de la comarca: la verdial Manresa.
