The Regions to be surveyed included Nunavut, Nunatsiavut (Newfoundland and Labrador) and Inuvialuit (Northwest Territories). Due to limitations on resources available to the survey, the communities in those Regions with less than 500 were excluded from the sampling frame. The result meant that the Inuit Oral Health Survey represents 77% of the Inuit living in the three participating Regions. Given that the Region of Nunavik (Northern Québec) did not participate, the sampling frame represented 52% of all Inuit living in the north.
