The AP test is divided into 4 blocks of 24 trials. Each block consists of 24 pitches (A3 to Gb5) presented in random order. Each block has a different timbre or instrumental sound. After you hear a tone, you will have 3 seconds to reply before you are presented with the next tone.

O teste de ouvido absoluto é dividido em quatro etapas. Em cada etapa serão apresentadas 24 notas musicais (do Lá 3 ao Sol b 5) de maneira aleatória. Cada uma das diferentes etapas apresenta um som instrumental ou timbre específico. Após ouvir uma nota, você terá três segundos para clicar na resposta que você achar correta. Decorrido esse tempo, uma outra nota será apresentada. Entre as etapas, você poderá descansar durante o tempo que julgar necessário. Quando estiver pronto para começar a etapa seguinte, clique em "próximo teste". O procedimento completo tem duração aproximada de 15 minutos.
