Il s’engage dans une lutte de tous les instants pour faire du miel de Corse un produit identitaire reconnu. Une première victoire est conquise au mois de janvier 1998, avec l’obtention d’une Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée (AOC).

The first twenty years represented "a battle", as the industry struggled with threats from all sides. But Jean isn’t someone who gives up easily. He fought relentlessly to make Corsican honey a product with its very own identity. A first victory was won in January 1998, when an Appellation d'Origine (AOC) was awarded. But for John, the battle was far from over. President of the AOC union from 1999 to 2007, he works tirelessly to promote and defend the island’s beekeeping industry.

I primi 20 sono «anni difficili», visti i tanti dalla problemi che incontra con filiera di produzione. Ma Jean non è uno che molla. Intraprende così una lotta senza quartiere per rendere il miele di Corsica un prodotto tradizionale riconosciuto. La prima vittoria arriva nel gennaio del 1998, con il riconoscimento di un’AOC (Appellation d’Origine Contrôlée). Ma per Jean la battaglia non è ancora finita. Presidente del consorzio AOC dal 1999 al 2007, lavora con costanza alla promozione e alla tutela dell’apicoltura dell’isola.
