Le projet AIE SHCP “Task 41: Solar Energy and Architecture”, initié en 2009, a pour but principal d’améliorer cette situation en diffusant auprès des architectes les connaissances nécessaires à utiliser au mieux le potentiel offert par les technologies solaires d'aujourd'hui.
The IEA SHCP project “Task 41: Solar Energy and Architecture” was initiated in 2009 to improve the situation by providing architects with the knowledge they need to best use the potential offered by solar technology today.

12.11.12 - Le laboratoire interdisciplinaire de performance intégrée au projet (LIPID) participe à trois tâches concomitantes du Solar Heating and Cooling Programme sous l'égide de l'Agence Internationale de l'Energie (AIE).
12.11.12 - The interdisciplinary Laboratory of Performance-Integrated Design (LIPID) is participating in three concurrent Tasks of the Solar Heating and Cooling Programme within the International Energy Agency or IEA. IEA Tasks represent opportunities for international and inter-institutional research collaboration on important energy issues within a structured framework, and articulate themselves around regular (bi-annual) expert meetings to review and assess the progress of the work being carried out at the involved institutions.

12.11.12 - The interdisciplinary Laboratory of Performance-Integrated Design (LIPID) is participating in three concurrent Tasks of the Solar Heating and Cooling Programme within the International Energy Agency or IEA. La tâche AIE au sein de laquelle le LIPID participe actuellement, inclut la Tâche 40 intitulée "Towards Net Zero Solar Energy Buildings" (la contribution du LIPID étant menée par Dr. Shady Attia), et les futures Tâches 50 "Advanced Lighting Solutions for Retrofitting Buildings" (contribution menée par Prof. Marilyne Andersen) et 51 "Solar Energy and Urban Planning" (par la doctorante Emilie Nault).
The IEA Tasks in which LIPID currently participates include Task 40 entitled “Towards Net Zero Solar Energy Buildings” (LIPID contribution effort led by Dr. Shady Attia), and upcoming Tasks 50 “Advanced Lighting Solutions for Retrofitting Buildings “ (LIPID contribution effort led by Prof. Marilyne Andersen) and 51 “Solar Energy and Urban Planning” (LIPID contribution effort led by PhD Candidate Emilie Nault). An expert meeting was held for each one of them this fall. The 8th IEA Task 40 meeting – the first with EPFL’s participation – was held at the Universitat Pompeu Fabra – UPF in Barcelona, on October 1-3, 2012. Within Subtask B, Dr. Attia is in charge of the Optimization Chapter that will be part of Subtask’s B source book aiming to identify and refine design approaches and tools to support industry adoption of innovative demand/supply technologies for NZEBS. The 2nd Task definition phase workshop for Task 50 was held on September 26-27, 2012 at EPFL in Lausanne, hosted by Subtask C leader Dr. Jerôme Kaempf from LESO, and provided the opportunity to further refine the workplan to be submitted to the Executive Committee of the IEA. The Task will focus on linking academic activities with the lighting retrofit market through case studies, simulation tools and technological solutions. LIPID’s ongoing work on performance metrics for complex façades and advanced daylighting as well as on new façade technologies implemented in real buildings will provide resourceful contributions. The preparation meeting for the IEA Task 51 Solar Energy and Urban Planning was held concurrently on September 26-28 at Lund University in Sweden. Within Subtask B, Dr. Attia presented the work of LIPID’s PhD Candidate Emilie Nault that aims to identify the energy potential and interactive design support in the urban context.
