Daar het doel van het voer, naast het drijvend/zinkend vermogen, volledig verschillend is worden de ingrediënten van het voer aangepast. Het proteïnegehalte wordt naar 28% en het vetgehalte naar 10% verhoogd zodat de dieren energiereserves voor de winter kunnen aanleggen. In plaats van spirulina-algen in het voorjaar ontvangen ze nu visolie om vermogensreserves op te slaan. In plaats van maïs is er in de herfst licht verteerbaar tarwe toegevoegd. Met dit soort voer ontvangen uw vissen wezenlijk meer energie dan hun stofwisseling nodig heeft. Precies het tegendeel dus van een dieet. De benodigde hoeveelheid voer staat bij alle JBL ProPond voersoorten op de zijkant van de zak vermeld: 5 koi met een lichaamslengte van 15 tot 35 cm hebben, bijvoorbeeld, tussen 7 en 24 g per dag nodig. Pas als de watertemperatuur onder de 15 °C komt kunt u wintervoer toevoegen en wanneer de temperatuur verder daalt tot onder de 10 °C gaat u volledig over op JBL ProPond Winter. Maar nu gaan we eerst maar eens van de fraaie herfst genieten en de dieren op de juiste manier op de winter voorbereiden.
