Since then, Lausanne has turned into the international capital of sport: it plays host to a large number of international sporting federations and organisations, most of which have been accommodated in a new specialist centre the House of International Sport (MSI) since 2006

Die Waadtländer Hauptstadt ist seit 1915, als sich das Internationale Olympische Komitee (IOK) an den Ufern des Genfersees niederliess, auch olympische Hauptstadt. Seither hat sich die Stadt zur internationalen Hochburg des Sports entwickelt: sie beherbergt eine grosse Anzahl internationaler Sportverbände und Sportorganisationen, die seit 2006 mehrheitlich in einem neuen Fachzentrum untergebracht sind, im Internationalen Haus des Sports (MSI).
