The five-seat, five-door Nissan LEAF™ is the world’s first, purpose-built, mass-produced electric car. The lithium-ion battery modules and a three-phase alternating current synchronous motor, generate a maximum output of 80 kilowatts and a maximum torque of 280 Newton metres, with a top speed of 140 kilometres (90 miles) per hour. The Nissan LEAF™ has a range of around 160 kilometres (100 miles) on a full charge, and it takes approximately eight hours to recharge using 220-240 volts power supply.
