The co-chairmanship of the Process Steering Committee is held by the General Secretary of the Swiss Conference of Cantonal Ministers of Education (EDK) and the Director of the Federal Office for Professional Education and Technology (OPET). Other cantonal representatives as well as members of the State Secretariat for Education and Research (SER) and the Federal Statistical Office (FSO) have a seat on the Steering Committee.

La Confédération et les cantons qui assument sur un pied d’égalité le comité directeur sont responsables du pilotage stratégique du monitorage de l’éducation. Le secrétaire général de la Conférence suisse des directeurs cantonaux de l'instruction publique CDIP ainsi que la directrice de l’Office fédéral de la formation professionnelle et de la technologie OFFT s’en partagent la responsabilité. En outre, d’autres représentants cantonaux ainsi que des membres de la direction du Secrétariat d’Etat à l’éducation et à la recherche SER et de l’Office fédéral de la statistique OFS participent au comité directeur.

Verantwortlich für die strategische Steuerung des Bildungsmonitorings ist die Prozessleitung, in der der Bund und die Kantone paritätisch vertreten sind. Das Co-Präsidium der Prozessleitung habten der Generalsekretär der Schweizerischen Konferenz der kantonalen Erziehungsdirektoren EDK und die Direktorin des Bundesamts für Berufsbildung und Technologie BBT inne. Daneben nehmen weitere Kantonsvertreter und Mitglieder der Geschäftsleitung des Staatssekretariats für Bildung und Forschung SBF und des Bundesamts für Statistik BFS Einsitz in die Prozessleitung.
