Founded in 1994 by producer and director Angela Zoe, Documenta Films is an independent Brazilian audiovisual production company based in Rio de Janeiro. Documenta Films produced the following documentaries: ‘Milonga’ (mid-length, 2009), ‘Two Stories’ (feature film, 2013), best screenplay award winner for the competitive exhibition RECINE; "Our Stories" (feature film, 2014); ‘What's the Problem in Being Different?’ (Short, 2014). Also produced ‘Betinho - Hope on the line’(2015) and "My Name Is Jacque"(2016), both feature-length documentary projects carried out in coproduction with Globo Filmes. Over the last 20 years, Documenta has also sealed partnerships with major customers and produces mainly to do what we call "goodness movies", which care about the message and the role they can play in the world. In this segment, Documenta served the United Nations and its main agencies in developing series on Education, Social Equity and Diversity. In the last four years, the company developed two series and more than 18 films for UNESCO and UNAIDS. Among its main clients and institutional partners are the Brazilian Amnesty Commission/Ministry of Justice, FIRJAN, Nissan, Coca-Cola, Eletrobrás, Petrobrás, Furnas, H Stern and NGOs focused on social causes.
