In addition to the support to get access to work, there is another important element to the project, the Therapeutic Intervention. Through a Therapeutic Senior Worker, we will be trying and relieve some of the issues  that affect young people, through therapeutic services such as Mediation, Anger Management workshops, Intercession and so on, we’ll support the personal development of a young person.

Graddiodd Gethin o brifysgol Lerpwl gyda Gradd mewn Drama ac addysg gorfforol, aeth yna ymlaen i weithio fel tiwtor cymunedol cerddoriaeth a mentor diwydiant cerddoriaeth am 5 mlynedd. Am dair blynedd roedd yn weithiwr prosiect yng Ngherdd Gymunedol Cymru cyn cael y cyfle i ymuno a GISDA.
Gethin graduated from Liverpool University with a degree in Drama and Physical Education, he went on to work as a community music tutor and a music industry mentor for 5 years. For three years he was a project work in Community Music Wales before receiving the opportunity to join GISDA. Born in Tremadog, now Gethin lives in the Caernarfon area. Music is one of Gethin’s big interests; he’s played in many bands over the years and ran a recording company. In his spare time Gethin also presents a radio programme on BBC Radio Cymru.

Ymunodd Wendi a GISDA naw mlynedd yn ôl a bellach wedi bod yn bennaeth am dros ddwy flynedd. Mae cyfrifoldebau Wendi yn cynnwys cydweithio gyda’r rheolwyr perthnasol i gynnal a datblygu gwasanaethau GISDA sef Cymodi, Cwnsela, Rheoli Dicter, Addysg Amgen, Cefnogaeth a Llety, Cynghorydd Personol a Mentrau Cymdeithasol.
Wendi joined GISDA nine years ago and has been Head of Services for over two years. Wendi’s responsibilities include working with the relevant managers to maintain and develop GISDA’s services which are: Mediation, Anger Management, Alternative Education, Support and Accommodation, Personal Advisor and Social Enterprises. Wendi is also a counsellor accredited by the BACP (British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy) and also manages the counselling service for young people and families that come to GISDA.

Un o’r De yw Ron sydd wedi byw yn y Gogledd ers 1979 pan ddaeth yn weinidog yn Salem, Capel yr Annibynwyr, Caernarfon ac ers 2000 yn weinidog hefyd yn y Tabernacl,, Capel yr Annibynwyr, Porthaethwy. Roedd Ron yn un o aelodau â sefydlwyd GISDA yn 1985 ac ef yw’r unig aelod o’r grŵp gwreiddiol sy’n dal ar y Bwrdd.
Ron is a Southwalian who has lived in the North since 1979 when he became minister at Salem, Welsh Congregational Chapel, Caernarfon and from the year 2000 a minister at the Congregational Tabernacl Chapel, Porthaethwy. Ron was one of the founder members of GISDA in 1985 and the only member of the original group still left on the Board. Concern for homelessness among young people in Caernarfon and the area was the reason for forming GISDA . Ron is married to Rhian and they have three children and six grandchildren!.

Yn enedigol o Aberystwyth mae Meinir nawr yn byw yn Llanrug ac yn weithiwr cymdeithasol i wasanaeth Derwen - Tîm Integredig Plant Anabl yng Ngwynedd ers bron i wyth mlynedd. Roedd yn weithiwr cefnogol i’r un gwasanaeth cynt wrth iddi gwblhau cwrs Cymdeithasol ym Mhrifysgol Bangor.
Originally from Aberystwyth, Meinir now lives in Llanrug and has been a Social Worker at Derwen - Integrated Team for Disabled Children for nearly 8 years. Before becoming a Social Worker she was a support worker for the same service while completing her Social Work course in Bangor University. Meinir likes to go travelling as she has a big interest in languages and enjoys visiting different places to experience different cultures. She has family members that live in Ceredigion and Cardiff and she enjoys going down to visit them. She has been a member of the ‘Cyntaf ir Felin’ Choir for many years now and enjoys the experience.

Tudor yw Cadeirydd Cyngor Gwynedd. Mae hefyd yn aelod o Gyngor Tref Caernarfon lle y bu’n Faer ar ddau achlysur. Mae wedi gwasanaethu ar y ddau gyngor am fwy nag 20 mlynedd ac mae’n Is-gadeirydd i Noddfa, yn Gadeirydd i Tŷ Pobl Peblig ac yn aelod o nifer o bwyllgorau gan gynnwys y Gwasanaeth Tân.
Tudor is the Chair of Gwynedd Council. He is also a member of Caernarfon Town Council where he has been the Mayor on two occasions. He has served both Councils for over 20 years and is the Vice- Chair with Noddfa, Chair with Tŷ Pobl Peblig and is on several committees including the Fire Service. Before retirement he was self-employed in his own local building business and has been married for over 40 years. Tudor has two sons, three grandsons and a granddaughter. His interests are socialising and playing golf although these days he is too busy to play! He also enjoys gardening. Tudor joined GISDA’s Board as Gwynedd Council’s representative and had an interest in GISDA’s services due to his connections with the housing and care committees. He was also aware of GISDA’s good work with young people.

Y rheolwr mwyaf diweddar, wedi dechrau swydd Rheolwr Gweinyddiaeth ym mis Tachwedd 2014, ond yr hynaf o ran oedran! Ar ôl gadael Sir Gaernarfon yn 7 oed, wedi byw mewn nifer o ardaloedd ledled Cymru a Lloegr ond wedi dod yn ôl i’w chynefin a ddim yn bwriadu symud eto.
The most recent Manager started her post as Administration Manager in November 2014, but the oldest with respect to age! After leaving Caernarfonshire at 7 years old, has lived in a number of regions across Wales and England has come back to her roots and she’s not planning on moving again! A Law Degree from Liverpool University and then working as a Barrister for three years before having a change in career and working for many years in higher education as a manager and lecturer. The she worked as a trainer and a Development Manager in the private and third sector.

GISDA is a charity that provides intensive support and offers opportunities to vulnerable young people between 14 and 25 years old in North Wales. GISDA seeks to improve young people’s lives by working with them to develop independent living skills, employability skills and health and a sense of self-worth. support offered to each individual work towards achieving defined goals that are tailored to each young person’s needs, directly addressing the difficulties each young person is experiencing. Through the range of projects and therapeutic support that GISDA offers, young people gain the confidence and the skills required to live independent lives.
