The Commission has worked with the Local Government Data Unit ~ Wales to consider a methodology used for determining council size and the preferred methodology was published as a consultation paper on 27 March 2013. We received responses from over half of the principal councils, the Welsh Local Government Association (WLGA), two political parties and individuals. The general response was in favour of the methodology and that it was appropriate to ensure the provision of effective and convenient local government for councils.

Ceri lives in Denbighshire and since 2011 has been a member of the BBC Audience Council in Wales.  The Council both advises the BBC Trust and holds it to account for how well it is discharging its Public Purposes for licence payers.  He is currently also an Independent Member of the Betsi Cadwaladr University Health Board and a member of Snowdonia National Park Authority.  Ceri is passionate about maximising the effectiveness of Welsh public services and has a keen interest in public broadcasting and preventing homelessness.  He is married with two adult sons and enjoys walking, reading and travel.  He is a keen follower of most types of sport, but particularly rugby union, and keeps fit by going to the gym and playing squash.

However, the Commission may publish consultation responses in hard copy and in electronic format on the Commission’s website with all personal information from members of the public redacted apart from the locale of the respondent. Consultation responses from public bodies and elected representatives will include the name of the respondent, their position and the name of the public body or area they represent.
