C’était sans doute ce que signifiait l’exaltante victoire de Weir à Augusta (Georgie), qui lui a valu la maigre avance qu’il a eue pour gagner le trophée, remis depuis 1936 en l’honneur de l’ancien journaliste sportif du Toronto Star. Le trophée est décerné par un jury formé de journalistes, rédacteurs et animateurs sportifs de partout au pays, et a auparavant été gagné par des Canadiens aussi formidables que Wayne Gretzky, Donovan Bailey et Nancy Greene. The Masters win was the highlight of a superb season for Weir, who also won two other PGA events, finished in the top three on four different occasions and also in the top 10 in six other tournaments. He followed the Masters win with the best showing by any golfer in all four majors, including a third in the U.S. Open. Tiger Woods, who won Golfer of the Year yet again, wasn’t even close to Weir’s record in the majors. Gagné was no slouch, either.

The police found the complainant, a thirteen‑year‑old runaway they were looking for, in a vehicle driven by a man known to them as a pimp. The driver was later charged with sexual assault.  One of complainant’s conversations was taped at police headquarters in preparation for a secure treatment application and only notes of her date of birth, address and phone numbers were made.  The taped conversation was not for any criminal investigation; indeed, the investigation into the accused’s activities had not yet started.  The constable turned over his report and the written statements, but not the tape of the initial interview, to vice unit detectives for them to investigate the complaints of prostitution and sexual assault.  The vice unit detectives spoke with the complainant and that interview was recorded and transcribed.  By the time of the preliminary inquiry, the constable had forgotten about the taped initial conversation with the complainant and, some time between the interview and the trial, he misplaced the tape.

Von der Regulierungsbehörde der DOC Rioja als SEHR GUT klassifiziert. Die Ernte war in Ordnung, die schwere Regenfälle Ende Juni hatten keine Negative wirkung an den Wachstumszyklus. Die gute Befruchtung, die Abwesenheit von Frühlings Frost, verfolgt von einen heissen und trockenen Sommer, frei von Pilzkrankheiten ergibt sich in eine Reiche Weinlese. Obwohl die gesamte Produktion nicht abgeschlossen war, denn einige Ungleichheiten der Reifung beobachtet wurden, aber Dank der sehr geeignetes Kilma in Oktober fand eine ruhige und selektive Weinlese statt. Wir begannen mit der Weinlese in “Viña Zaconia” am 22. September und dauerte bis 25. für die Weißen Trauben, am 7. Oktober fingen wir wieder an mit den Roten Trauben in Viña Tondonia bis 24. October. In der zweiten Woche von Dezember und nachdem wir die entsprechende Berechtigung von der Regulierungsbehörde erhalten haben, fand eine Späte Ernte statt mit den Ertrag den wir noch nicht gererntet hatten und nach der Bestätigung einer hervorragende Entwicklung der Trauben die noch nicht reif in Oktober waren.
