Pierino Forni (1919-2005) is a “villese”, who has made Ticinese and Luganese football great. He started out his career in FC Lugano, when still very young and during the 1940-1941 season won the LNA Swiss Championship. In the course of the 1942-43 season, he participated in the Swiss Cup final against the Grasshoppers (lost two goals to one), a final that was played at Bern’s Wankdorf stadium in front of 18'000 spectators. Forni ended his career as forward some seasons later, wearing the Chiasso jersey.

Recientemente me impactó mucho la muestra de Ariadna Pastorini en Braga Menéndez (2006). En general, las muestras de Alfredo Londaibere de los últimos años me emocionan mucho, son de las que más me impactan, podría nombrar la de La Bibliotheque(2005), la del C.C. San Martin (2005), una muy anterior que se llamó Coronas de Poder en la Alianza Francesa. La muestra de Gumier Maier en Braga menéndez (2005) me pareció hermosa, sumamente delicada y contundente. Me conmueven mucho algunas fotografías sueltas de Guillermo Ueno y Nacho Iasparra, no podría precisar cuáles, creo son de esos fotógrafos que, por momentos, logran crear algo más alla de lo explicable. Y una última obra presentada por Juana Neuman en Perísferica (2005), una serie de cuadros en donde ella dibujó sobre los papelitos de los ojalillos me resulta muy cercana y genial. Me gustaría citar también a las obras en general que pudieron verse los últimos años de Marcelo Pombo, para las cuales casi no tengo palabras. En general, tanto los trabajos de Londaibere, Pastorini, Pombo, Gumier Maier me interesan porque son artistas que, sin perder su sello propio, único y definitivo, cada vez que uno va al encuentro de una nueva muestra se encuentra con algo nuevo, con una evolución, con un crecimiento, con un nuevo aporte.

Trust also plays a key role when the buyer of Yavuzsoy's lined paper drawings has to promise the artist to give them to anyone else who, upon seeing them, says they would also like to have one: a generous act in which Yavuzsoy calls the circulation of art goods into question. Since 2004, he has been creating the lined sheets of paper that strictly adhere to the DIN (German industry standard) norm of industrially manufactured writing paper. The artist draws his straight lines on white paper on an almost daily basis-freehand, but with an underlying "model" to go by-until the pencil he is using is depleted. The resulting drawing is the product of a machine-like virtuosity, without ever quite being able to attain to the industrial norm. But Yavuzsoy explains that he is not concerned with the idea of artist as machine: "People can always see that the paper is drawn by hand." What fascinates him more is the endlessness of the self-appointed task, in a state of dissolution and approaching the inexhaustible.

Fast täglich zieht der Künstler freihändig, jedoch mit einem unterliegenden "Model" gerade Linien über weiße Blätter - solange bis sich der von ihm benutzte Stift erschöpft hat. Das Ergebnis ist eine Zeichnung, die das Ergebnis einer maschinenartigen Virtuosität ist, ohne die industrielle Norm je ganz erreichen zu können. Um den Künstler als Maschine gehe es ihm hierbei jedoch nicht, erklärt Yavuzsoy: "Man wird immer erkennen, dass das Blatt von Hand gezeichnet ist." Was ihn hingegen fasziniert, ist die Endlosigkeit der selbst gewählten Aufgabe "die in sich gelöst", also tendenziell unerschöpflich ist.

A post-vacation vacation is probably what many people feel that they need when they realize how much has to be done once they're back to normality at home. It may well have been a fun-filled vacation with new memories to keep but getting back on track is hard work on its own. At least, that’s how it is for me. I also feel this way after every weekend. Monday mornings are the hardest because I am always thinking about the hectic schedule I have lined up for the week. I look at my watch and realize I'm running late for work, and have to jump out of bed to get ready as quickly as I can. On my way out, I check the time again, grab my briefcase and get right into the day with a quick stop at the coffee shop downstairs for a take-out doughnut to eat en route to work. The thought of how I'd managed to completely lose track of time during the past two weeks away is bittersweet. Living off the clock without having to think about much of anything was amazing, but I am glad to be back on the go and getting life done, with my watch keeping me on time for the meetings and social gatherings I had planned for the week.

J’ai également ce sentiment après chaque week-end, car affronter le lundi matin est ce qu’il y a de plus pénible quand je pense à l’emploi du temps chargé qui m’attend pour la semaine. Je regarde ma montre et je réalise que je suis en retard pour aller travailler, je saute hors du lit pour me préparer aussi vite que possible. En partant, je vérifie l’heure à nouveau, j’attrape ma mallette et je commence ma journée en m’arrêtant rapidement pour acheter un croissant au café d’en bas. Je le mangerai pendant le trajet. J’ai un pincement au cœur en pensant à la façon dont j’ai réussi à perdre toute notion du temps pendant mes deux semaines de vacances. Ne plus avoir à regarder l’heure ni à réfléchir à quoi que ce soit était délicieux, mais j’étais ravi de me remettre dans le mouvement et de pouvoir compter sur ma montre pour être à l’heure aux réunions et aux sorties notées dans mon agenda de la semaine.

Sin duda habrán sido unas divertidas vacaciones llenas de nuevos recuerdos, pero volver a la normalidad ya es difícil de por si. O, al menos, ese es mi caso. También me siento así tras algunos fines de semana. Los lunes por la mañana son especialmente duros, pues me pongo a pensar en la ajetreada agenda que he organizado para esa semana. Miro el reloj y me doy cuenta de que llego tarde al trabajo. Pego un salto de la cama y me preparo tan rápido como puedo. De camino al trabajo, vuelvo a mirar el reloj, cojo el maletín y comienzo el día con una breve parada en la cafetería, donde compro un dónut para comer por el camino. Guardo el agridulce recuerdo de cómo perdía la noción del tiempo durante mis dos semanas de vacaciones. Vivir al margen del reloj, sin pensar en nada, fue maravilloso; pero me alegro de volver a estar en movimiento, organizar mi día a día y, con ayuda de mi reloj, llegar a tiempo a las reuniones y eventos sociales que he planeado en mi agenda semanal.

A new nonlinear gravimetric boundary problem, namely an Alexidze problem is stated. It is treated by Á. Chornii as a problem of gravity potential renovation by the values of modulus of its gradients given on Liapunov's boundary. The problem's analytical properties are considered. Its solution as a simple layer potential consists of the sequence of solutions of external boundary Neumann's problems for Laplace's equation provided that the solution does not greatly deviate from the given one. A simple layer density is defined by the solution of the 2-nd kind Fredholm integral equation for the gravity.

Черного она сводится к задаче восстановления потенциала силы тяжести по значениям модуля его градиента на границе Ляпунова. Рассмотрены некоторые аналитические свойства задачи. Ее решение в виде потенциала простого слоя является последовательностью решения внешних граничных задач Неймана для уравнения Лапласа при условии, что решение не очень отклоняется от заданного. Плотность простого слоя определяется из решения интегрального уравнения Фредгольма 2-го рода для силы тяжести.

To facilitate the exchange of information between the political body and the science and technology authorities and to establish clear communication channels, COMCYT agreed to recommend that all member states of the Organization of American States (OAS) designate, through their National Liaison Organ (ONE), a National Organ on Science and Technology (ONCYT), whenever possible, which will be the institution or person that will represent that member state at COMCYT meetings. It was also agreed to recommend that the OAS Permanent Missions designate a point of contact for science and technology issues within their Missions and, if possible, a backup for when the first contact is not available. Finally, the Committee agreed that the information on these contacts (institutions or people) should be sent, as soon as possible, to the Technical Secretariat of COMCYT at the OAS Office of Science and Technology, so that these lists could be drawn up and published on a web page. If possible, all points of contact should provide e-mail addresses (several if possible) to facilitate the communication flow.

I cannot imagine how people lived before the invention of the computer, I am convinced that I was born in the right century! My name is Daniel Griza, I am sixteen years old and Edelweiss Foundation’s ambassador. This year I have got the maximum score and the first place at Republican Computer Science Olympiad. I have also brought home several gold and silver medals from national and international competitions. But I am very proud of the medal won at Clock Tower School Romania 2012 contest, where I competed with dedicated IT teams from countries such as Indonesia, the Philippines, Bulgaria, Romania, which are much more developed in training for Olympics in IT.

Eu, unul, un computer cu acces la internet :) Nu îmi imaginez cum trăiau oamenii înainte de inventarea informaticii, sunt convins că m-am născut în secolul potrivit! Numele meu este Daniel Griza, am 16 ani şi sunt ambasador Edelweiss. Anul acesta am obţinut şi locul I şi punctajul maxim la olimpiada republicană de informatică, am şi mai multe medalii de aur şi argint câştigate la competiţii naţionale şi internaţionale. Ţin însă foarte mult la o medalie câştigată la concursul Clock Tower School Romania 2012, unde am concurat cu echipe consacrate în IT din ţări precum Indonezia, Filipine, Bulgaria, România, care au un nivel mult mai dezvoltat în pregătirea olimpicilor în domeniul IT.

Лично я - от компьютера с выходом в интернет. Не представляю, как жили люди до изобретения информатики, и я полностью уверен, что родился в нужное время! Меня зовут Даниил Гриза, мне 16 лет, и я посол фонда Эдельвайс. В этом году я выиграл первое место на республиканской олимпиаде знаний, получив максимальный балл по информатике, а также выиграл несколько золотых и серебряных медалей, участвуя на национальных и международных конкурсах. Больше всего я дорожу медалью, которую выиграл на конкурсе Clock Tower School Romania 2012, где я соревновался с лучшими ИТ-командами из Индонезии, Филиппин, Болгарии, Румынии, стран, в которых уровень подготовки олимпийцев по информатике намного выше.

Some visitors linger for hours, others stroll past the names and hurry on past to other pursuits. Many come to find the single name of a spouse, a loved one, a buddy, someone from their hometown. More than 58,000 names, together etched in single monument to their courage and sacrifice. Among those names are Puerto Rico’s three Medal of Honor winners from the Vietnam War, Carlos J. Lozada, Euripides Rubio and Hector Santiago Colon, their names inscribed with the other 240 posthumously recipients of the Nation’s highest honor.

Hay más de 58,000 nombres grabados en el monumento que conmemora su valor y sacrificio. Entre esos nombres se encuentran tres puertorriqueños que recibieron la Medalla de Honor por su servicio durante la Guerra de Vietnam: Carlos J. Lozada, Eurípides Rubio y Héctor Santiago Colón. Sus nombres aparecen junto con los de otros 240 hombres y mujeres que recibieron, en forma póstuma, la mayor condecoración que se confiere en la nación.
