Im Februar des Jahres 1634, als die Eiche kaum hundert Jahre alt war, machte in ihrem Schatten das zahlreiche Gefolge des damals schon kranken Friedländer Herzogs Albrecht von Waldstein (Wallenstein) halt.

The monumental oak in the village of Okrouhlá is named after the notable nobility personage of Czech history. In February 1634, when the tree was hardly 100 years old, a large company escorting the then already ill Duchy of Friedland, Albrecht von Wallenstein (Czech: Albrecht z Valdštejna), stopped by the tree. The duke fleeing Bohemia was in immense pain and he was forced to travel on a stretcher hinged between two strong horses. He was murdered in Cheb Castle shortly afterwards. In the early 20th century, the oak was named Wallenstein's Oak in his honour.

Le chêne d’Okrouhlá est lié au nom de l’aristocrate tchèque bien connu dans l´histoire. En février 1634, quand l´arbre était à peine centenaire, le groupe nombreux qui accompagnait le duc de Friedland déjà malade, Albrecht von Wallenstein (en tchèque: Albrecht z Valdštejna), s´arrêta près de l´arbre. Le duc qui fuyait la Bohême devait voyager sur une litière accrochée entre deux chevaux à cause de graves douleurs; il fut assassiné peu de temps après au château de Cheb. Au début du siècle, le chêne fut nommé en son honneur.

El roble de Okrouhlá está unido con el nombre de un caballero famoso de nuestra historia. En enero de 1634, cuando el roble tenía apenas cien años, se paró junto a él un séquito numeroso que acompañaba al duque de Frýdlant, Albrecht de Wallenstein, en aquél entonces ya enfermo. El duque, que huía de Bohemia, a causa de dolores graves tenía que viajar en una camilla colgante entre caballos fuertes y al poco tiempo fue asesinado en el castillo de Cheb. A principios del siglo pasado con solemnidad denominaron el roble con su nombre.

La quercia di Okrouhlá è legata al nome del celebre nobile della nostra storia. Nel febbraio del 1634, quando l’albero aveva appena cento anni, si fermò presso la quercia la numerosa scorta che accompagnava il già malato duca di Friedland Alberto di Wallenstein. Il duca, in fuga dalla Boemia, a causa del forte dolore dovette viaggiare in una lettiga agganciata a robusti cavalli; poco dopo fu ucciso nel castello di Cheb. All’inizio del secolo scorso la quercia fu solennemente battezzata col suo nome.

Дуб в Окроуглой связывают с именем известного чешского дворянина. В феврале 1634 года, когда дереву было едва ли сто лет, у него остановился многочисленный кортеж, сопровождающий уже больного герцога фридлантского Альбрехта Вальдштейна (Валленштейна). Герцог, отступающий из Чехии, из-за тяжелых болей путешествовал на носилках, подвешенных между сильными лошадьми, а вскоре после этого был убит в Хебской крепости. В начале прошлого века дуб торжественно назвали в его честь.
