Ilovik is the southernmost inhabited island of the Losinj acquatorium. Across Ilovik is a small uninhabited island of St. Peter so that the two islands close the 2.2 km long and 300m narrow natural channel extremely suitable for anchoring vessels. Ilovik è l'isola abitata e situata più al sud di tutto l’acquatorio lussignano. Di fronte al posto di Ilovik c’è la piccola isola disabitata di San Pietro, e le due isole insieme racchiudono il canale naturale di 2,2 km di lunghezza e di 300 m di larghezza, il cui posto d’ancoraggio fa per le navi, perchè riparato dal vento. Il porto è stato ritrovato in questo posto d’ancoraggio anche da parte di molti appassionati di nautica, che ci vengono per poter trascorrere il tempo in natura incontaminata. La spiaggia di sabbia più bella dell'isola, Parzine, è situata nella parte sud-est dell'isola, mentre il posto Ilovik è situato in una baia naturale nella parte nord dell 'isola. L’isola di Ilovik, assieme all’isola del suo vicinato, il “San Pietro”, è ricca di molti resti storici dai tempi antichi e medievali, visto che questa zona sia sempre stata un corridoio di passaggio della Via dell'Ambra . La causa di questa ricchezza storica sta nel fatto che il porto sia molto protetto, e nel corso della storia offriva ai marinai il riparo sicuro dalla tempesta. I monumenti da visitare a Ilovik racchiudono la costruzione preistorica “Vela straza”, nonché Strizine all’isola di San Pietro. Le fortificazioni sono dei testimoni delle torri di difesa e di sorveglianza durante la Via dell’Ambra. C’è anche una notevole eredità dell’epoca romana, e oltre a riscontrarla sulla terra, la nave affondata nel mare fa da testimone di questo periodo, insieme alle numerose anfore e altri resti del materiale archeologico sparso, appartenente all’epoca romana. Ilovik is het meest zuidelijke bewoonde eiland van de lokale wateren. Aan de andere kant van Ilovik is een klein onbewoond eiland St. Petar zodat de twee eilanden in de buurt een 2,2 km lange en 300 meter smal natuurlijk kanaal maken dat een uitermate geschikte ankerplaats voor schepen is voor bescherming tegen de wind. Het mooiste zandstrand van het eiland, Parzine, , gelegen aan de zuidoost kant van het eiland, terwijl de stad Ilovik gelegen is in een natuurlijke baai aan de noordkant van het eiland. Het eiland Ilovik grenst aan zijn St. Petar die beide in overvloed zijn van vele historische overblijfselen uit de oudheid en de Middeleeuwen, omdat het gebied altijd op de weg naar Amber was. Dit is precies de beschutte haven die zeilers door de tijd heen een veilige haven van de storm bood. Van de bezienswaardigheden die u hier kunt zien op Ilovik zijn de prehistorische ruïnes Vela straza en Strizine na Sv Petru.
