A rotulagem com o símbolo de fechadura em restaurantes é igualmente voluntária, mas os restaurantes têm de se submeter a um processo de certificação para utilizarem o símbolo de fechadura. A Direção-Geral Nacional estabeleceu um novo organismo de certificação com vista a garantir a qualidade dos restaurantes. A organização sem fins lucrativos “Associação de Restaurantes KeyHole” foi criada em janeiro de 2009. Para além da Direção-Geral da Alimentação, os fundadores são o Instituto Nacional Sueco para a Saúde Pública (FHI) a Associação Sueca de Hotéis e Restaurantes (SHR), a Federação Alimentar Sueca (Li), a Federação Sueca de Retalho Alimentar (DLF), a Escola de Artes de Hotelaria e Culinária e Ciência Alimentar Örebro Campus da Universidade de Grythyttan e a Universidade de Artes Culinárias e Ciências Alimentares de Kristianstad.

Označenie kľúčovou dierkou v reštauráciách je takisto dobrovoľné. Reštaurácie však musia prejsť certifikačným procesom, aby mohli tento symbol využívať. Národný potravinový úrad zriadil nový certifikačný orgán, ktorého cieľom je zabezpečovať kvalitu reštaurácií. V januári 2009 bola založená nezisková organizácia „Združenie reštaurácií KeyHole“. Okrem Národného potravinového úradu patria medzi zakladateľov aj nasledujúce organizácie: Švédsky národný inštitút verejného zdravia (FHI), Švédska asociácia hotelov a reštaurácií (SHR), Švédska potravinárska federácia (Li), Švédska federácia pre maloobchodný predaj potravín (DLF), Hotelová akadémia, Fakulta kulinárskeho umenia a vedy o jedle na vysokej škole Grythyttan univerzity Örebro a Fakulta kulinárskeho umenia a potravinárskej vedy na Kristianstadskej univerzite.
