Friend of his clients and a well-known architect in Milan at the time for his creativity, Piero Portaluppi had the opportunity to independently develop a luxurious residential complex down to the very last detail which, in addition to the main Villa and garden, included buildings for the porter’s residence, a greenhouse, garage, swimming pool, and tennis court. The Villa was equipped with the most innovative systems available from the science of the times: modernity had invaded every function of domestic life, offering those who lived there the latest in terms of comfort(there was an elevator, dumbwaiter, internal intercoms etc.) and safety. The interior, characterized by a great abundance of precious materials, kept the owners’ refined taste intact: salons for games, reading, smoking, and conviviality were on the ground floor, along with quarters for the serving staff. On the second floor were rooms that were more intimate, but no less luxurious; off of a spectacular gallery opened up the master bedrooms and other rooms intended for hosting the illustrious friends of the family visiting Milan.
