Klasické sociologické a antropologické teorie tematizující migraci reprezentovaly migranty jako subjekty, které opustily své domovy, odtrhly se z jeho bezpečí a dostaly se tak do bolestivého procesu asimilace. Migrační proces zde byl představován v tragické formě příběhu především jako ztráta, sebezapření a žalostný exil: úspěch mohl spočívat jedině v překonání traumatu a ve schopnosti adaptace na nové prostředí. Přestože tato reprezentace může vystihovat zkušenosti mnoha migrantů, není pro současnou situaci globální migrace obecně udržitelná. Současné sociologické a antropologické diskursy poukazují na to, že tento klasický obraz mohl představovat nanejvýš jeden možný typ migranta. Potřeba reflexe neadekvátností starých teorií vychází z případů migrantů, kteří se snažili a snaží udržovat živé vztahy se svými „opuštěnými“ domovy. Projekt se zaměřuje na diskursivní pole souvislostí procesů sociální inkluze a formování etnokulturních identit jež můžeme vymezit následujícími klíčovými orientačními body: (a) „Nový typ přistěhovalce“, jako subjektu který překračuje hranice, ale nezanechává svůj domov zcela za sebou. (b) Sociální inkluze přistěhovalců s diasporickou identitou. Díky sociálním vztahům, které udržují napříč prostorem i časem, mohou subjekty s diasporickou identitou existovat tam i tady, ve svých nových i starých domovech. Součástí zkoumání je případová studie transnacionální sítě osmi vysokoškolsky vzdělaných mladých žen pocházejících ze stejného maloměsta na jihu Slovenska a žijících v současnosti v pěti různých zemích světa (Česko, Slovensko, Maďarsko, Německo a USA).

De Europese sociale bewegingen van de 'lange' negentiende eeuw, die voortkwamen uit drie eeuwen economische veranderingen, voedden zich met de kritiek van de Verlichting en de vele maatschappelijk experimenten die er in de opstanden en revoluties van 1798 tot 1918 werden uitgevoerd. Dit gold voor het liberalisme, maar vooral voor de grote stromingen van wat later 'links' genoemd werd - socialisme, anarchisme en communisme - en voor talloze kleinere hervormingsbewegingen. Naast grote verwantschap bestonden er tussen (en ook wel binnen) al deze groepen ook steeds grotere of kleinere verschillen, die eenheid van optreden vaak belemmerden, maar een grote rijkdom aan ideeën lieten zien. Davana is a small aromatic herbaceous plant native to southern India. It was long grown in Indian gardens, having an exquisite fragrance that was very popular there. In the wild, it usually grows near sandalwood trees, a preferred location. The blue-green leaves have a grayish-white downy coating and the plant produces pretty, fragrant, yellow flowers. Davana takes four months to reach maturity. Harvesting is done when the flowers are fully in bloom in late summer. The whole plant is cut by hand using a sickle and allowed to dry for about a week before distillation. Davana is very delicate and requires the utmost attention during harvesting. The delectable fragrance has a fruity note of syrupy liqueur on a woody, animalic base.

Le Davana est une petite herbacée aromatique originaire du sud de l’Inde. Cultivée de manière traditionnelle dans les jardins indiens, sa fragrance exquise y était fort prisée. A l’état sauvage, elle pousse généralement au voisinage des arbres de santal dont elle apprécie la compagnie. Couverte d’un duvet gris blanc, ses feuilles vert bleuté sont accompagnées en été de jolies fleurs jaunes odorantes. Quatre mois sont nécessaires au davana pour atteindre sa maturité. La récolte s’effectue lorsque les fleurs s’épanouissent pleinement, à la fin de l’été. Les plants entiers sont coupés à la main à l’aide d’une faucille et mis à sécher pendant environ une semaine avant distillation. Le davana est très fragile et requiert la plus grande attention au moment de la récolte. Gourmande, sa fragrance distille une note fruitée d’abricot liquoreuse, sur un fond boisé et animal.

L’objectif de ce projet est d’évaluer une méthode pour identifier des aires marines représentatives à la fois des fonds marins et des espèces présentes sur ces fonds marins dans le but de répondre à des questions pratiques : combien y-a-t-il d’habitats dans l’écosystème du Saint-Laurent, quelle est leur superficie et quelle est leur importance relative pour les poissons vivant sur les fonds marins? La classification des fonds marins est faite à l’échelle du mégahabitat. L’aire d’étude est divisée en cellules de 10 km x 10 km. Sur la base de nombreuses variables de diverses natures (physico-chimie, nature des sédiments, relief et topographie), ces cellules sont regroupées en classes de mégahabitats. Les données de capture (relevés de poisson de fond pour lesquels les captures de toutes les espèces ont été répertoriées) sont utilisées pour décrire les assemblages d’espèces présents dans l’aire d’étude. À chaque cellule de 10 km x 10 km, on assigne un assemblage dominant et des espèces représentatives de cet assemblage dominant. L’importance d’un habitat dans un secteur donné est mesurée statistiquement par des analyses géospatiales examinant les corrélations entre une espèce (représentative d’un assemblage) ou un assemblage d’espèces et les classes de mégahabitats.
