Pendant que nous sommes en train de discuter à savoir si l'on doit rendre des normes volontaires obligatoires à l'encontre d'agences gouvernementales, les États-Unis étudieront The Conflict Minerals Trade Act, un projet de loi privé qui prévoit non seulement identifier les compagnies minières opérant dans les zones de conflit en RDC, mais de faire une carte disponible au public, d'exiger des compagnies de technologie de communication et autres qui importent ces minéraux de certifier que les minéraux contenus dans leurs biens de consommation ne proviennent pas de zones de conflit.

The building hosts part of the offices programmed in the larger development proposal in the south half of “Überseequartier” which includes a shopping center, a car park, a bus station, offices, housing, a hotel, shops and activities and the cruise line terminal. Public places occupy major part the ground floors among which a restaurant in the Southern part with a terrace on the Elbe and an access to terraces and to public places on the roof. The reception hall of the offices is developed in double height. The access is gained by the North in direct contact with the public transport station, through a gentle slope to the lower platform, closest to the water of the “Mageburger Hafen” and its animated city center with its café terraces and restaurants, and his its buildings base that shelters commercial, cultural activities and production.

J’ai voulu effectuer mon stage chez BESIX, d’une part pour la renommée du Groupe dans le secteur de la construction, et d’autre part pour le grand panel de projets internationaux sur lesquels travaille le Groupe. Dès mon arrivée on m’a d’ailleurs directement assigné à un projet de potabilisation de l’eau à Kinshasa en RDC, mais j’ai également pu découvrir divers autres projets, notamment au Sri Lanka.
